Sensational Saturday!

Wow, what a week!  As I mentioned before we did some major changes in the house.  I thought I would show you some pictures.

  

This is our eating area/dining room.   It is in one half of the living room.

My mom bought me the rug as a birthday present and it matches great!

 

This is coming from the other direction- it is now the living room. 

This is the area that used to have our table in it, but look at all the room I have now for more kitchen!  I just love it.  I have my coffee station there, and my microwave.  My kitchen aid is plugged in ready to go, and there is lots of storage space.

Also, I have just made a slideshow finally of D's birthday that was last May, which I hope to upload here, but in the meantime here are a couple pictures of his "chamo" bday.  He loved having his uncle and new aunt here, as well as David M.  Having the Metcalfes here was special too!

Today has been a great day.  We had our Keepers At Home class.  Mr. Pressley gave a writing class.   Each girl wrote (or drew pictures in H's case) a short story using the theme they all decided on.  The moral was "look before you leap" and was about a prideful little boy who didn't watch at the beach and fell into the deep

waters.  They had a great time!

This afternoon after Keepers class, I got down on my knees with a scrub brush and tried to spot my carpet.  Cream colored carpet and rental houses + 6 children (and sometimes 11 when my sister's children are here...well they don't mix very well.  After that I went outside and did some spray painting.  My friend has gotten me into all the possibilities a little can of spray paint can open up!  So I sprayed my piano stool, a rod iron magazine rack and a rod iron decorative music book stand.  After that, well...you can see for yourself what I have been doing this afternoon.................................................................................................................

 

Yes, on Thursday Stef and I went out and she bought a laptop computer.  So now we tease each other and type on facebook back and forth crazy things.  It's a little scary how silly we can be. ☺
