Summary of our wonderful vacation!

We are home from our family vacation in Arkansas!  We drove through the night to get there and through the night to get home.  S and I had some good time together and the children slept so well!  I am sure there will be pictures forthcoming but for now, let me just highlight some of the bullet points by quoting my facebook status':
  • after 700 miles we arrived this morning at 8 am and already have enjoyed a morning in the water...whoohoo!
  • winding up a very fun but busy day. After driving all night, arriving at 8am in Arkansas, big breakfast, morning in the water, lunch, long nap, afternoon on the water, jet ski and intertube, back in for steak and celebrating J's birthday, then topping off the day with a boat ride to enjoy fireworks on the water! Happy Independance Day Everyone
  • Looking forward to the Lord's Day. We will miss our church family very, very much!
  • has sufficiently impressed her family by threading a cricket on a hook and taking a fish off the hook
  • Driving the jet ski, being bounced to pieces (please don't tell my chiropractor) on the intertube and super mable...--falling off it backwards while trying to ride with daddy, a day out on the water, can there be a more fun summer vacation?
  • missed a chance at winning $10,000 on Funniest Home Videos, because no one recorder her doing a backwards flip, feet straight up in the air, off the Super Mable today.
  • Is now the mama of a teenager! Happy Birthday to my dear Joseph..we are proud of the young man you are becoming!
  • tried for the first time in her life to learn to water ski...and successfully failed.
  • brunch with friends, afternoon swimming and boating, early supper (Nona's fried chicken, stewed potatoes, peas, sweet potatoes, salad, bread, and banana pudding) and the lobster looking Ervins are headed back to SC. Long night ahead of driving...but lots of memories to take with us! Thank you Nona and Papa!!
  • Home again! and S and I feel like words can't describe how weird our bodies feel after being up all night!
  • Thank you Nona and Papa for giving us such a wonderful family summer vacation!!
