On this day 16 years ago, my beloved and I first laid eyes on each other. After months of working with my parents and being given
the "green light" to win my heart...my dear husband came to meet me. Oh, the excitement! Oh, the overwhelming emotions! Oh, the nervousness!
And oh, how overwhelmed we were at God's providence in our lives. Within the short weekend, after 53 hours of talking, singing, laughing and discussions
we were the best of friends. We did not get much sleep, but saying goodbye was harder than we could have dreamed. That was the beginning
of a beautiful courtship.
Now 16 years later, 6 children (and 4 in heaven), we are even closer and more in love. We are quickly changing from raising babies in diapers to
teenagers and young adults. Our relationship is deeper and stronger. We have been through joys, sorrows, tears and
laughter. We have grown up, become stronger. We have gone from thinking we knew everything, to knowing we are nothing. I love my life next
to my man, raising his children, sharing his vision. Thank you Lord for your mercies. I love you, my husband.
